Brinkerhoff Rectal Speculums

Brinkerhoff Rectal Speculums are available at Jalal Surgical in “203 mm” Length, High Quality with Stainless Steel material. Brinkerhoff Rectal Speculum features two tapering blades that can be inserted into the lower rectum and then opened by the spring handles for examination into the lower rectum and anus. The Brinkerhoff Rectal Speculum is available in various lengths and diameters to accommodate a wide range of cases.

Rectal Speculum

An anoscope is a tube-shaped instrument that widens the opening of the anus. Doctors use it to diagnose diseases of the anus and rectum.

A speculum is an instrument designed to allow a doctor to view the inside of a passage or cavity of the body. Rectal speculums are used in the conduction of an anoscopy, a preliminary examination before a proctoscopy or sigmoidoscopy.

The rectal speculum dilates the anus and allows the physician to see the anal canal more clearly, in order to establish whether there is anything that will block the route of the proctoscope or sigmoidoscope.
